MINA — Hajj Security Forces arrested 12 expatriates and one Saudi citizen for violating Hajj rules and regulations in three separate incidents.

In the first incident, five Turkish residents were arrested for violating Hajj regulations and instructions by attempting to enter Makkah through dirt roads and valleys without obtaining Hajj permits. Legal action was taken against them.

Security patrols in Makkah also arrested four residents of Indian and Bangladeshi nationalities for fraud and deception through publishing fake and misleading advertisements for Hajj services on social media platforms. The security authorities seized forged cards, documents, and tools used in the crime. Legal action was taken against the suspects, and they were referred to Public Prosecution.

Hajj security forces also arrested a Saudi citizen attempting to transport three Afghan nationals into Makkah without official Hajj permits.

The security authorities urged Saudi citizens and expatriates to comply with the Hajj rules and regulations and cooperate with relevant entities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims, stressing that violators are subject to legal penalties.

They also urged the public to report violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
