    Alkhorayef inspects Ras Al-Khair Port, Ma’aden facilities and Royal Commission’s operations center

    RIYADH — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Bandar Alkhorayef inspected on Monday Ras Al-Khair Port, along with several facilities belonging to Ma’aden and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu operations center in Ras Al-Khair Industrial City.

    The visit aimed to assess the readiness of vital facilities and monitor the efficiency of supply chains, transportation, and shipping operations, thereby supporting business continuity and enhancing operational resilience in light of regional developments.

    At Ras Al-Khair Port, Alkhorayef reviewed the logistics operations, transportation and shipping activities, and mineral export flows. He also examined the port’s support services and facilities that contribute to operational stability, enhance supply chain efficiency, and strengthen the link between industrial and mining activities.

    The inspection tour also included the Maaden Phosphate Company complex, where he reviewed the operational readiness and response systems in the crisis and disaster emergency room. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the highest safety and sustainability standards and the role of this system in enhancing the efficiency of responding to operational challenges and managing changes effectively.

    Alkhorayef also visited Maaden Aluminum Company and watched a presentation on the company’s expansion plans and production capacities. The presentation highlighted the integrated roles of relevant entities and private sector establishments in supporting industrial and mining growth and enhancing the competitiveness of the Kingdom’s investment environment.

    The minister concluded his visit by inspecting the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu’s operations center in Ras Al-Khair. He toured the operations coordination and monitoring room, the fire station, and the field monitoring and response system. The minister commended the center’s advanced infrastructure and the qualified national personnel who manage the system efficiently and effectively.

    During the visit to Ras Al-Khair Industrial City, Alkhorayef was accompanied by Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Eng. Khalid Al-Salem; Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid Al-Mudaifer; CEO of the Royal Commission in Jubail Eng. Mahmoud Al-Dheeb; and CEO of the Saudi Export Development Authority Eng. Bader Al-Harbash.
