RIYADH — The Aramco Stadium has recycled 18,000 tons of construction waste during construction, the Hosting Higher Authority for World Cup 2034 announced.

With the aim of aligning with the Kingdom’s sustainability goals, the Authority stated that up to 35% of the cement in the stadium’s concrete has been replaced with low-emission materials.

According to the Authority, since the beginning of construction of the stadium in July 2024, it has completed 15,000 tons of structural framework installation and 22,500 tons of cooling capacity through a sustainable air-conditioning system.

Based on the Aramco Stadium’s official website, the stadium will feature a hybrid system of 95% natural grass and 5% synthetic reinforcement.

The website also mentioned that the stadium spans 105 meters by 68 meters, the exact field dimensions required for FIFA and AFC competition.

It also has 47,000 seats, 9,000 parking spaces, and 1,695 CCTV cameras.
