RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has signed a joint executive program to support the continuity of education in crisis zones.

The program aims to provide safe learning environments and psychological support for children affected by the disruption of education in the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli aggression, thus mitigating the impact of the current situation on the educational process.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed – via video conference – on Sunday a joint executive program with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage to establish and operate safe learning spaces (field schools), in addition to providing psychological and social support services for children affected by the disruption of education in the Gaza Strip. The program will benefit 1,000 male and female students.
Assistant Supervisor General of KSrelief for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz signed the executive program. The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage was represented by Chairman of its Board of Directors Dr. Essam Fathi Abu Khalil in the signing ceremony.

The program aims to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment that supports the continuity of education and improves children’s study conditions, thus contributing to the restoration of their educational path and reducing the gaps resulting from disruption.

This comes as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts, through the KSrelief, to meet the educational and psychological needs of affected communities and enhance the quality of life in the Gaza Strip.
