MAKKAH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah launched the awareness guide for domestic pilgrims to facilitate the smooth performance of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. This is part of the ministry’s efforts aimed at enhancing pilgrims’ readiness and raising awareness of organizational procedures and guidance instructions that contribute to performing the rituals in ease and comfort.

The guide provides integrated advisory content to accompany pilgrims throughout different stages of their journey, beginning with early preparation before departure and matters related to personal preparations, travel requirements, and identifying gathering points, through to instructions on transportation to the holy sites and adherence to approved organizational schedules.

The guide includes detailed instructions for the Nusuk card, which enables pilgrims to enter the holy sites and the Grand Mosque, as well as mechanisms for using its digital version, along with contact information for service providers and support and assistance numbers, including the Pilgrims Care Center and health and emergency services.

The guide also reviews the organizational pathways for performing rituals through illustrative maps of the holy sites, Hajj schedules, transportation and grouping instructions, in addition to a simplified explanation of rituals during Hajj days, helping pilgrims perform their rituals in accordance with approved regulations while enhancing awareness of procedures contributing to preserving their safety and the safety of others.

The guide dedicates awareness content to positive behaviors that reflect Hajj values and etiquette, including instructions on dealing with crowding, preventing heat stress, maintaining public cleanliness, and cooperating with organizers, in a manner that enhances the quality of the experience and contributes to operational efficiency during the season.

The initiative comes in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Transport and Logistics, and Ministry of Media through the Unified Hajj Media Operations Center, in addition to the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, the General Authority for Awqaf, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and the Coordination Council for Institutions and Companies Serving Domestic Pilgrims (Mutahed).

The ministry called on domestic pilgrims to review the guide and benefit from its awareness content before and during their journey, affirming that it can be downloaded through: https://haj.gov.sa/ar/Awareness-Center/Awareness-Guides/Internal-Hajj-Guide.
