MADINAH — The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) is providing emergency medical and humanitarian services to pilgrims as they visit the Prophet’s Mosque and other key religious sites across Madinah.

Ambulance units have been strategically deployed at the Prophet’s Mosque, its courtyards, and other high-density locations to ensure rapid response to emergencies and the timely delivery of medical care.

Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Director of the SRCA branch in Madinah Region, said ambulance teams are operating around the clock to provide emergency medical services to pilgrims and visitors throughout their stay in the city.

The measures are designed to enhance response times and ensure emergency cases are handled in accordance with the highest medical standards.

In addition to ambulance teams, Al-Zahrani noted that the operational plan includes rapid response units, electric vehicles, and golf carts to support beneficiaries and improve accessibility to emergency services.

He added that the region’s Medical Dispatch Center continues to receive emergency reports through the unified emergency number (997) and the Asefni mobile application, while monitoring field teams to ensure swift response times and high-quality services for pilgrims and visitors.

Al-Zahrani also emphasized that the authority is working closely with response partners and relevant entities to strengthen operational readiness and maintain the efficient delivery of emergency services, helping safeguard the well-being of pilgrims and visitors in Madinah.
