Thuwal Private Retreat, an exclusive island destination in the Red Sea north of Jeddah, is positioning itself as Saudi Arabia’s only fully private island buyout experience, offering guests complete access to the island and its facilities.

Accessible via a private yacht transfer from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Marina following arrival in Jeddah, the retreat caters to family gatherings, private celebrations, corporate retreats and destination weddings through a fully customized hospitality model.

The island accommodates up to 12 adults and three children across a three-bedroom master beachfront villa and three separate one-bedroom beach pavilions. The accommodations feature private outdoor spaces, direct beach access and views of the Red Sea.

Operating on an all-inclusive basis, the retreat offers tailored dining experiences prepared by private chefs, with meals served at locations chosen by guests, including beachfront settings, private villas and yacht excursions.

Marine activities form a central part of the experience, with snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding and PADI-certified diving available on site. Guests can also join guided dives led by marine scientists affiliated with KAUST to explore coral conservation projects in the surrounding waters.

The island’s facilities include an overwater diwaniya, a spa pavilion, outdoor wellness areas and a waterfront fitness center overlooking the Red Sea.

Evening experiences range from outdoor cinema screenings on the beach to guided astronomy sessions and traditional bonfire gatherings..
