RIYADH — The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed 853 chemical clearance requests in June 2026.

Ministry spokesperson Jarrah Al Jarrah said the requests included 798 applications to clear imports of unrestricted chemical substances and 55 applications for permits to import restricted chemicals. The approved requests covered 1,653 chemical items.

Al Jarrah said the chemical clearance service enables industrial investors to apply for import and export permits or customs clearance for chemicals used in industrial facilities through the Sinai platform.

He said the service is designed to ensure chemical clearances are issued efficiently and on time, helping manufacturers streamline the entry of production materials through the Kingdom’s ports.

The ministry said the service contributes to strengthening industrial output by simplifying and automating chemical clearance procedures through its digital industrial services platform, enhancing the delivery of digital services that support industrial investors.
