    UAE wins 16 medals at Arab Youth Chess Championship

    CAIRO, 5th August, 2026 (WAM) — The UAE national chess team concluded its participation at the Arab Youth Chess Championship in Cairo, Egypt, with 16 medals, including four gold, four silver and eight bronze.

    The UAE placed second in the overall standings behind hosts Egypt at the tournament, which attracted more than 400 players from 18 Arab countries and ran from 28th July to 5th August.
