    Saudi air defenses intercept missile, 10 drones; debris damages homes in Al-Kharj

    RIYADH — Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile and 10 drones early Tuesday, authorities said.

    Ministry of Defense spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki said the missile was heading toward the Eastern Province when it was intercepted.

    He added that 10 drones were intercepted over the past several hours.

    Separately, Civil Defense said debris from intercepted drones fell on residential areas in Al-Kharj.

    In one incident, debris struck three homes and several vehicles, causing two minor injuries. One of the injured was discharged after receiving treatment. Limited material damage was reported.

    In another incident, debris fell on six homes in a residential neighborhood in Al-Kharj, resulting in material damage without injuries.
