UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security has rolled out the ‘Basma 15 initiative, a government programme designed to bring essential identity services to students aged 15 and above directly to schools.

Under the initiative, specialised teams visit schools to collect students’ fingerprints on-site, eliminating the need for families to travel to service centres. The move is aimed at saving time and effort for both students and their parents, while ensuring a more convenient and efficient experience.

The programme reflects the UAE’s broader commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and streamlining government procedures through smart, accessible services. By conducting biometric registration within school premises, authorities are also ensuring faster processing and reduced administrative burdens.
