Reinforces the school’s commitment to building a community of ambition, where scholars help shape the founding culture of QE Dubai Sports City

Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City, has launched its scholarship programme, providing 25 scholarships to prospective students. Designed to recognise and support students who show exceptional promise across academic study, sport, the creative arts, leadership, and service, while also celebrating future Emirati leaders through the Emirati Excellence Scholarship, the programme is open to students entering Year 5 through to Year 8. The initiative forms a central part of the school’s commitment to establishing a founding community defined by ambition, character and high standards, ahead of its opening in August 2026.

Students awarded the scholarship will benefit from tailored programmes designed to nurture their individual strengths and support their continued growth. These opportunities will ensure that talent is not only recognised early, but developed with consistency and purpose.

Scholarships for founding families are renewable annually and worth up to 25% of tuition fees. In addition, successful applicants will benefit from the fixed 25% Founder Fee, bringing the total fee reduction to up to 50%.

Drawing on the heritage and educational philosophy of Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet, the programme aims to identify young people who will contribute to the founding culture of QE Dubai Sports City and act as role models in a school environment that nurtures qualities at the heart of the school’s mission: confidence, ability and responsibility.

    Five pathways

The programme includes opportunities for students in the following areas:

    • Academic Scholarships for students who demonstrate strong intellectual ability, curiosity and sustained engagement with ideas and contribute to the school’s intellectual life through initiatives such as QE Futures.

    • Emirati Excellence Scholarships, celebrating Emirati students who demonstrate ambition, academic strength and a strong connection to the culture and values of the UAE. Scholars will take part in initiatives across the academic curriculum, QE Futures and QE Flourish, with a focus on developing future leaders for the nation.

    • Flourish Sports Scholarships for students who show commitment, discipline and talent in one or more sports. Scholars will benefit from expert coaching, excellent facilities and purposeful development pathways supported by partnerships with ISD Dubai Sports City.

    • Flourish Creative Arts Scholarships for students with depth of talent in music, drama, visual arts, digital arts or related fields. Selected scholars will take part in performances, exhibitions and collaborative projects, and will work with specialist practitioners to refine their technical and artistic skills.

    • Flourish Leadership and Service Scholarships for students who demonstrate initiative, empathy and a track record of contributing positively to their school or wider community. Scholars will take on roles in student leadership, service projects and collaborative initiatives, shaping the early character of the school.

    Assessment and selection

Applicants will be invited to a scholarship assessment designed to understand each student’s strengths, interests and potential contribution to the school community. Depending on the pathway, assessments may include academic tasks, skills-based activities, interviews, collaborative challenges, portfolios or recorded performances.

The assessments prioritise not only current performance but also attitude, engagement and the capacity to grow.

A school community shaped by ambition and character

Dan Clark, Founding Principal of Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City, said: “Our aim is to identify young people whose abilities and character will help shape the school from its earliest days. These 25 scholarships recognise not only talent, but also the willingness to contribute, to lead and to take responsibility. We want our scholars to be role models for the values of confidence, ability, and responsibility that are the heart of QE Education.”

Families interested in learning more about the Scholarship Programme are invited to join a live webinar with Dan Clark, Founding Principal, on Tuesday, 7 April 2026 at 8:00 pm GST. The session will explore the scholarship pathways, assessment process and role scholars will play in shaping the QE Dubai Sports City founding culture.
