RIYADH — Arab League and Gulf Cooperation Council joined several Arab and Islamic countries in condemning drone attack targeting Saudi Arabia from Iraq.

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the attack on Saudi Arabia involving three drones that violated Saudi airspace. “This constitutes a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he said. In a statement, Aboul Gheit reiterated his rejection of the attack, while reaffirming the Arab League’s full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for the measures taken to protect its security and stability in accordance with international law.

Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi strongly condemned the attack on Saudi Arabia. He commended the efficiency of Saudi air defense forces in intercepting and destroying the drones. In a statement, Al-Yamahi expressed the parliament’s full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He stressed that the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Arab national security, calling for a firm stance to deter the entities behind these repeated attacks targeting the security and stability of Arab countries.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi condemned in the strongest possible terms the hostile attack targeting Saudi Arabia via drones launched from Iraqi airspace. He underlined that this assault represents a flagrant violation of regional security and stability. “This reflects a continued escalatory approach that undermines safety and threatens vital facilities, infrastructure, and the security of the entire region,” he said.

Albudaiwi underscored that the security of Saudi Arabia is an indivisible part of the security of the GCC member states. “The council countries stand as one with the Kingdom in all measures it undertakes to maintain its security and stability, as well as to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Albudaiwi said.

The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the drone attack on Saudi Arabia. In a statement, Secretary General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the criminal attacks, saying that this violates all religious values, international laws, and humanitarian norms.

On behalf of the MWL councils, bodies, and global assemblies, Sheikh Al-Issa reaffirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its people.

Several Arab and Islamic countries also denounced the attack in the strongest terms. These include Egypt, Jordan, Mauritania, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.
