SHARJAH, 30th August, 2026 (WAM) — Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) is continuing work on a project to replace and upgrade the water network in Al Baradi 7, Khorfakkan. The project involves replacing existing AC water pipes with modern GRE pipes over a total length of approximately 6,000 metres. The project is part of SEWA’s plans to develop water infrastructure and improve the efficiency and sustainability of distribution networks in Khorfakkan. WASHINGTON, 30th August, 2026 (WAM) — NASA and SpaceX are adjusting the launch date for the agency’s Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station to address an oxidizer leak on Dragon’s propulsion system which was detected during standard prelaunch spacecraft processing. RIYADH — Land, sea, and air customs ports across Saudi Arabia recorded 1,078 seizures of contraband last week. The seized items included 107 types of narcotics such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, and Captagon pills, in addition to 402 other prohibited materials. Customs ports also foiled attempts to smuggle 2,024 tobacco products and their derivatives, along with 30 types of cash and two types of weapons and related equipment.
