DAMMAM — Saudi Civil Defense on Wednesday announced that the danger prompting an emergency alert in Dammam had passed, minutes after urging residents to take shelter and follow precautionary measures.

In an update issued through the National Platform for Early Warning in Emergencies, Civil Defense confirmed that the situation had ended and called on residents to continue following official instructions, avoid gathering or filming incidents, and contact emergency services by dialing 911 if needed.

Earlier, authorities issued an emergency alert advising residents to remain calm, move to the nearest safe location inside buildings, stay away from windows and exposed areas, and remain indoors until the all-clear was announced.

Motorists who received the alert while driving were instructed to pull over in a safe location away from bridges and high-rise buildings.

Civil Defense reiterated the importance of relying on official channels for information and complying with instructions issued by the relevant authorities to ensure public safety.
