JEDDAH — A meeting of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah reviewed the readiness and preparations of all the concerned agencies and departments for the upcoming Hajj season. The discussions focused on the plans and indicators of the preparedness of the relevant agencies for the Hajj season.

In line with the directives of Advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah and Chairman of the Committee Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal. The meeting discussed several topics related to Hajj and Umrah affairs.

Addressing the meeting, Prince Saud bin Mishaal expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the agencies and entities involved in the successful implementation of the Ramadan-Umrah plan. He lauded the support of the Saudi leadership that was instrumental in making the operational plans a great success. He urged everyone to redouble their efforts and enhance cooperation in preparation for the upcoming Hajj.

The meeting reviewed the performance of various agencies during the month of Ramadan, encompassing transportation, ambulance, and health services. It was informed in the meeting that no epidemics or incidents were reported during the month of Ramadan, which marks the peak annual Umrah season.

The meeting also reviewed the smooth conduct of the departure phase of Umrah pilgrims through King Abdulaziz International Airport, and the completion of the first and second phases of the project to develop and improve the Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex.
