RIYADH — Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah presented the document outlining the initial arrangements for Hajj affairs offices in preparation for the 2027 Hajj season.

Speaking at the annual closing ceremony organized by the ministry in Makkah, the minister announced a series of new initiatives, including the introduction of a comprehensive package encompassing services at the holy sites, as well as accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, with transportation and catering services made mandatory throughout the pilgrims’ stay.

Al-Rabiah also highlighted enhancements to the Hajj packages, including the cancellation of Package “D” and the restructuring of the packages into three categories designed to better accommodate pilgrims’ preferences. In addition, he announced the launch of a training program for members of Hajj offices, which will become a mandatory requirement for obtaining a visa.

The minister explained that the timeline for Hajj affairs offices for 1448 AH includes granting Hajj affairs offices and foreign Hajj companies the opportunity to secure priority accommodation in Makkah and Madinah beginning June 30, 2026. Furthermore, priority will be extended to offices wishing to retain their current locations at the holy sites when contracting for the comprehensive package during the period ending August 13, 2026
