MAKKAH — Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal made an inspection tour of the holy sites during which he reviewed full operational readiness of the facilities and services arranged for the pilgrims for the Hajj of 2026.

This was in line with the directives of the Saudi leadership and under the supervision of Emir of Makkah and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah Prince Khalid Al-Faisal.

Prince Saud inspected several projects implemented by Kidana Development Company in Mina, including a network of 195 field maintenance centers, a pilgrim accommodation system covering more than 3.5 million square meters, and a project to equip over 54,000 camps, as well as more than 700 multi-story kitchens and ancillary support facilities.

The deputy emir also reviewed pedestrian walkway development projects in the holy sites, including a shading project spanning more than 103,000 square meters. He listened to a briefing on a project to replace misting columns with 400 misting fans in the western and eastern plazas of the Jamarat facility. Prince Saud was also briefed on infrastructure projects linking the Mina camps through the installation of 74 escalators to facilitate pilgrims’ movement.
