    Nazaha arrests 71 suspects over corruption charges

    RIYADH — The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has arrested 71 suspects, including government employees, over various corruption charges. The arrests followed a total of 1395 inspection visits conducted by the Nazaha officials during the last month of March.

    The inspection visits resulted in carrying out investigations into the charges against 360 people in connection with bribery and abuse of power. These suspects include employees from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Sports. some of the arrested suspects were released on bail, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

    The authority is now working to complete the necessary legal procedures before referring those involved in corruption to the judiciary. Nazaha urged the public to report any suspected financial or administrative dealings through its official channels, including the toll-free number 980 or its website. `
