RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has warned of moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail and strong winds that may stir up dust and sand in most regions of Saudi Arabia.

The NCM noted that the weather conditions are affecting parts of the Eastern Province, the Northern Borders region, Hail, Qassim, Riyadh, Madinah, Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan, with a chance of fog in some parts of these regions.

The center also indicated that surface winds on the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 10-28 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southerly in the southern part at speeds of 12-40 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h towards the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
