OpenAI recently collaborated with a software company named Circles to launch an AI concierge tool. This tool utilises a fully AI-native telco stack designed to redefine how operators engage with customers.

The AI concierge is built on OpenAI’s API platform, with the intention to provide telcos the ability to move beyond traditional customer support and open “new monetisation opportunities through intelligent, proactive and deeply personalised experiences at scale”.

OpenAI and Circles stated the launch commences their collaboration, and outlined plans to accelerate the AI roadmap and advance a vision of a “fully autonomous telco”.

For the AI concierge offering, Circles is combining two software offerings: its CareX multi-agent architecture and XploreIQ, an AI-powered monetisation engine.

CareX apparently manages everything from network diagnostics to billing, while XploreIQ can predict and match customer needs to personalised offers, and deliver “agentic execution to complete the transaction”, while learning from every interaction.

Circles claims the so-called unified AI concierge connects customer experience, operations and revenue generation into a single intelligent layer.

    Reimagining telco

Awais Malik, global chief growth officer, said AI should empower users and not force outdated journeys. “OpenAI’s role has been critical in enabling Circles to scale this vision globally”.

Oliver Jay, MD of OpenAI International, added Circles “is demonstrating how advanced AI can modernise essential industries like telecommunications at scale”.

Founded in 2014, Circles claims it is “reimagining” the telco industry with a SaaS platform which allows operators to launch “innovative digital brands or refresh existing ones”, on their paths towards a techco model.

It counts KDDI, e& and AT&T as customers.
