    Saudi Defense Minister, UK National Security Advisor discuss efforts for regional de-escalation

    JEDDAH — Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman met with National Security Advisor for the United Kingdom Jonathan Powell in Jeddah on Wednesday.
    During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of Saudi-British relations and cooperation.

    They discussed joint efforts to address the challenges facing the region amid the current developments, as well as efforts to de-escalate the situation in a manner that preserves regional security and stability.

    The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Saif. On the British side, the meeting was attended by Prime Minister’s Special Advisor for Business and Investment Varun Chandra, British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Stephen Hitchen and a number of officials.
